HullSonic HS200 Ultrasonic Antifouling System — 2 Transducers, 4-Channel Upgradeable
Stop fouling before it starts. Protection for vessels to 32ft/10m, on a control module that grows with your boat.
The HS200 is a full four-channel HullSonic control module supplied with two transducers — channels 3 and 4 are ready and waiting for the day you want them.
Four channels of hardware. Two working today.
The HS200 isn't a cut-down system. It's the same control module as the HS400, with two of its four ultrasonic channels held inactive. Add the HS-T50 Transducer Upgrade Kit at any point and the system becomes a full four-transducer installation — no new module, no re-wiring the power feed, no writing off what you already bought.
For most owners of vessels to 32ft/10m, two transducers is exactly the right specification. The upgrade path is there for the ones who move up, add a keel cooler, or simply want more intensity on a high-fouling mooring.
Real power, under your control
Each channel delivers a user-adjustable 45–55W, factory-set to 50W — that's 100W of ultrasonic acoustic energy across the two active transducers. Every channel calibrates itself continuously across a 19–80kHz swept band, automatically compensating for hull thickness, material, and the acoustic load of your specific installation. Hull composition changes the resonant behaviour of a transducer; the HS200 measures it and tunes to it, per channel, instead of guessing.
ECO, STANDARD and BOOST — match the system to your power budget
- ECO — reduced draw for boats on solar, wind or limited shore power. Protection continues; consumption drops.
- STANDARD — the everyday setting. Factory default.
- BOOST — maximum output for high-fouling seasons, warm water, or a boat that's about to sit for a while.
A programmable sleep function will stand the system down for 4–8 hours and resume automatically, for owners managing tight battery budgets on a mooring.
The colour display tells you what's actually happening
A full-colour display gives you live per-channel status, drive power, calibration state and fault reporting at a glance — not a blinking LED you have to interpret. Onboard WiFi handles configuration and over-the-air firmware updates, so the system you install this season keeps improving.
Built for a 12V or a 24V boat
Auto-sensing 12–24VDC input. No jumpers, no variants, no ordering the wrong one. Move the unit to a different vessel and it adapts.

Please Note: HullSonic ultrasonic anti-fouling systems are provided with 32ft of cable per transducer. Depending on boat size, you may require additional transducer cable to reach the transducer mounting location. Typically this can be extended using the off-cuts from other transducers installed closer to the control module, or using the same type of cable. Contact Us for assistance with extension advise. Lengths can be extended up to 60m. This unit can also be combined with other HullSonic systems to extend protective range and/or anti-fouling intensity.
Ultrasonic Anti-fouling System for use on Hulls & Running Gear
Vessels up to 50’/15m
- Auto-Calibration: Advanced technology to automatically calibrate each channel.
- ECO/STANDARD/BOOST Modes: A convenient built in ECO low power mode is built-in and will reduce the power consumption drastically. For use with lower power solar and wind charging systems. HullSonic also offers the STANDARD mode for normal operation and if required a BOOST mode that will increase the output!
- Sleep Mode Built-in: All HullSonic models come with a built-in sleep mode to shut the output down for 4 or 8 hours. Rest knowing the system will commence protection again automatically.
- True 50 Watts per Transducer: HullSonic HS & MAX generate 50 Watts peak of ultrasonic output per Transducer, thats a 100W peak output! The acoustic sonication generated disrupts and prevents algae and barnacles attaching to your hull.
- Polycarbonate enclosure: Rigid and strong, providing excellent impact resistance IP67 rated.
- Lexan Label: Tough label / button plastic for reliable long life.
- PVC Transducer Housing: Blended flame retardant additive PVC housing for inert ultra long lasting, touch transducer housings
- Anodized Aluminium Footprint: Light weight strong and corrosion resistance anodized transducer mounting pad for easy install and long life
- Silicone Rubber, Tinned Copper Cabling: Only the best long lasting tinned copper silicone rubber cabling for Transducers and DC Power.
- Completely Encapsulated Transducer: Completed sealed / encapsulated and degassed Urethane potting to protect each Transducer.

Frequently Asked
Questions
Will it clean a hull that's already fouled?
No. HullSonic is preventative, not curative.
Ultrasonic energy stops organisms establishing; it does not remove barnacles, tube worm or weed that have already attached and hardened. Fit the system to a clean hull — ideally at a haul-out, with fresh antifouling applied — and it protects that clean surface from day one. Fit it to a dirty hull and you are asking it to hold a line that has already been crossed.
If your hull is currently fouled, clean it first. The system will then keep it that way.
Which HullSonic system do I need?
Vessel length is the first filter, and each product page states its coverage. But hull shape matters as much as length — a smaller boat with a deep keel, a large sea chest and a warm-water berth can need more transducers than a larger, flatter hull in cool water.
If you are between two models, send us your hull layout and where the boat lives and we will tell you honestly which one you need. We would rather size it right than sell you more than you need.
Will it work on my hull material?
HullSonic works on fibreglass, aluminium and steel hulls. Each channel auto-calibrates to the acoustic properties of the section its transducer is bonded to, which is exactly why the drive frequency is swept rather than fixed — hull material and thickness change how a transducer loads, and the system measures that instead of assuming it.
Cored, foam-sandwich and heavily insulated sections need mounting-location advice, because the core interrupts the acoustic path. Timber and ferrocement hulls are case-by-case. Contact us with your construction and we will tell you before you order whether it will work, and where the transducers should go.
Will I be able to hear it?
In a quiet cabin, possibly — some owners report a faint periodic tick or chirp through the hull, particularly at night or when the transducers are mounted close to a berth. It is quiet, intermittent, and most owners stop noticing it within a week.
Mounting location makes the difference. If a quiet interior matters to you, tell us when we help you place the transducers.
